The name sounds bombastic, and in fact COLOSSEUM are something like dinosaurs in the history of rock music: an association of incredibly virtuoso soloists, but still with a closed, compact sound and always very musically innovative in the various constellations. The double album “Colosseum Live” can certainly still be described as a jewel in the history of rock history. In 2025, the “colossus” will be in motion again, to the delight of numerous fans. Under the motto “Out Into The Fields”, the originals Chris Farlowe, Clem Clempson & Mark Clarke present Colosseum classics such as “Lost Angeles” & the “Valentyne Suite” as well as songs from their current studio album “Restoration” (Repertoire/Repuk 1430) & of the new long player “Out Into The Fields”.
