Open Sunday on 25 September offers the opportunity to feast, shop and stroll in the city: After a long wait, Dillenburg's city centre is getting ready to enjoy delicious food, a leisurely stroll and shopping. The retailers and restaurateurs in the centre of the Oranienstadt will be opening their doors for an open Sunday under the motto "Dillenburg is(s)t gut! Dillenburg is(s)t gut! has made a name for itself as a traditional event and has become a popular meeting place for young and old with good food in a great atmosphere, an appealing supporting programme and many offers from the retailers. From 12 noon to 6 pm, the shops are open and customers have the opportunity to go shopping on Sunday. The retailers will be offering special bargains and a large selection of different products. At home, the kitchen can stay cold on this day. Instead, "Dillenburg is(s)t gut!" will be served up and REWE Petz, the AG Kaufleute des Förderkreis Dillenburg e.V. and the Oranienstadt Dillenburg invite you to a joint lunch in the town centre.

From 11.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m., visitors can take a seat at the corner of Marktstrasse and Hauptstrasse. Sufficient tables and seating will be set up there so that guests can enjoy their meal together in comfort and peace.

Once again, the team led by Axel Boss from REWE Petz will provide a delicious meal and serve a classic of German cuisine: roulade with red cabbage and mashed potatoes. The price per portion is 7.50 euros. The food is cooked at the REWE Petz store. From there, the food is brought to the city centre to be served hot on the plates. Those who want to enjoy coffee and cake after eating and shopping will be welcomed by the Egerländer Gmoi Dillenburg from 2 pm. Visitors can also look forward to other gastronomic offerings and sweets, not only for children.

Hits and oldies Mir-Zwo" with André Schüler will provide the tried and tested musical entertainment. Everything goes better with music. Of course, this is especially true for cosy hours spent together with friends or family. That's why on Sunday, 25 September, guests at "Dillenburg is(s)t gut!" will also be offered something musically.

Shopping and parking

If you would like to visit the open Sunday, there are plenty of parking spaces available in the Oranienstadt Dillenburg. The town centre can be reached on foot in just a few minutes from all the car parks. Free parking is also available at the stadium on Karlsplatz and in Konrad-Adenauer-Allee. A large number of free parking spaces are also available at the Stadthalle and above the Stadthalle. Chargeable parking spaces in the city centre are available in the multi-storey car park.
