The most beautiful alley in Hachenburg, known to the locals as "Owergass," is Friedrichstraße.
Some artists who have settled here also appreciate the special flair of this place. Here, you can practically indulge in long-past times, as one historic house follows another. Furthermore, you will come across one of the oldest half-timbered houses in the city. Before the alley widens into a small square (coming from Higham-Ferrers Square), you will find on the left side the slightly crooked house, next to which a small "Ählchen" (alley) leads downwards. The year 1610 can be seen.
