GOOD NEWS - The Choir - "Of Kings & Queens" Concert with band on 26.05.2018 in Hellenhahn-Schellenberg Of kings and queens - this is the title of the new concert program of GOOD NEWS from Hellenhahn-Schellenberg. "GOOD NEWS - The choir" - since 19 years a synonym for choir music of a different kind. From Abba to Zappa - the motto of previous performances does not quite fit. Rather, the choir impresses with its extraordinary diversity: from classical choral music, works by old masters, to Christmas carols and gospels, to pop music of the past decades - GOOD NEWS thrills its listeners in all areas. This variety can also be found in the age range of the 45 singers: from 17 to 79 years, every age group is represented. Back to the roots - back to the roots - that's the title of the current program. Despite the variety described above, the focus of GOOD NEWS 'musical activity since its founding has always been on modern pop music. The current program "Of Kings & Queens" reflects this in an impressive way. The handwriting of Fabian Glück, a professional musician and singer-songwriter from Arzbach, who has been the choir director of GOOD NEWS for a year, comes into its own. Hits from the kings and queens of the past six decades, some of which were specially arranged for the choir, characterize the new program. The whole thing is enriched by solo contributions and the participation of a band. The premiere of the program will be presented on May 26 at 8 pm in the multi-purpose hall Hellenhahn-Schellenberg. Tickets are available in advance from the choir members and the Westerwaldbank in Rennerod and Bad Marienberg, the bookstore Logo in Westerburg and the bakery Roth in Hellenhahn. Afterwards there will be an aftershow party for drinks and snacks at the same place - admission is free.
