Info-Event im Basaltpark

Description

In the basalt park, the geological processes and former mining methods are vividly documented. Around the idyllic basalt lake, the different types and crystallisation forms of the basalt can still be clearly seen. Characteristic are the five- or six-sided columns in different thicknesses, heights, which are often visible in the position of a mile.

The open-air museum provides an interesting insight into the volcanic activity of the region about 25 million years ago and represents the history of basalt mining, which played an important economic role for the citizens in and around Bad Marienberg in past centuries.

The information building in the Basalt Park will be open to visitors on this day from 1 - 4 pm.

There will be an exciting rally for children.
