To the Tour PlanerRight from the start we look forward to our stay in the beautifully landscaped monastery complex of the Cistercian Abbey of Marienstatt at the end of our tour. First we follow the Druidensteig hiking trail through fairytale forests and reach the historic roof slate pit Assberg. It consists of an opencast mine approx. 240 m long and approx. 70 m wide as well as a mine 20 m underground that is easily accessible via stairs. If you want, you can descend deep into the earth's interior. We continue to the tranquil village of Limbach, where the lovingly designed village museum is waiting for our visit. In Limbach we say goodbye to the Druidensteig and continue walking on the famous WesterwaldSteig, always along the Nister. Soon we will reach Marienstatt again and marvel at the neo-Gothic church before we relax in the peaceful cloister garden or in the brewery.
From Hachenburg (southeast): We leave Hachenburg via the L288 and turn right onto the B413 at the end of the street. We follow this road to the roundabout, which we leave at the second exit onto the B414. After the roundabout, we turn right onto the K21 in the direction of Marienstatt, which we follow until we arrive at the parking lot.
From Altenkirchen (west): We drive over the B414 to the turning to Marienstatt (K21). We follow this street until we have arrived in Marienstatt. From Bad Marienberg (east): We leave Bad Marienberg via the L294 and at the end of the street turn left onto the B414. We leave this street at the turning towards Nister and Betzdorf. We follow the signs towards Betzdorf on the L288 until we turn left onto the K21 at the first intersection. Then we turn left immediately to stay on the K21 and follow this road to Marienstatt.
From Betzdorf (north): We leave Betzdorf via the L288, which we follow to the exit to the right in direction Marienstatt. Now we are on the K21. In order to stay on this street, we turn the next left and drive to Marienstatt.

We start at the Marienstatt monastery and are already looking forward to our stop at the Marienstätter Brauhaus at the end of our tour. First we enjoy the relaxed atmosphere in the monastery garden and visit the baroque church. Then we follow the Druidensteig on beautiful forest paths towards the roof slate pit Assberg. From there we continue on the Druidensteig in the direction of Limbach. In Limbach we say goodbye to the Druidensteig. We continue on the WesterwaldSteig along the Nister river.
The monastery garden is a real oasis of well-being, for which we should plan enough time to relax and to discover the numerous herbs.
