Just below the church in Mehren, close to a pondsite, you'll find the open air stage. Built in 1986 at this idyllic location in Greece-Roman style, it is nowadays the scene of various open-air evens and concerts, as for example the „Lichterfest = festival of lights“, which is known far beyond the boundaries of the town.The dimentions of the open-air stage in Mehren are based upon the ancient theater in Ephesus – but in smaller proportions.Particularly noteworthy is the acoustic which can be experienced by the visitors from the center of the round stage.
