Every year on the first Sunday in July, it’s time – the Siegtal is car-free: The route is closed to all car traffic for over 100 kilometers and reserved for cyclists, inline skaters, joggers, and pedestrians. They can really spread out between 9 AM and 6 PM while biking, skating, hiking, or running. There are numerous street and sports festivals as well as cyclist meetings along the route and in the towns or municipalities, with plenty of activities, special opportunities to visit attractions that are usually closed, and many options to enjoy drinks and food.
