Artisanal sophistication with Westerwald clay
The Fürst pottery demonstrates a love of traditional craftsmanship with handmade Westerwald ceramics. Look over the potters' shoulders and experience the fascination behind the material clay. The ceramics are made exclusively according to traditional craftsmanship. Potted, red-made, painted and fired in an open fire at 1260 degrees and salt-glazed. If you are then interested in utility and decorative ceramics, you can stock up on salt-glazed stoneware in the 200 square metre exhibition area. To round things off, the original crockery is filled with original Westerwald specialities in the ‘Mittendrin’ café right in the workshop. Tours are possible by prior arrangement.
