Small but nice. This is the motto with which the town of Montabaur enters the Christmas season. Glittering lights and the scent of mulled wine, gingerbread and roasted almonds fill the streets and alleyways from the end of November. The façade of the historic town hall is once again transformed into a large Advent calendar, and the stage is also set up again. A highlight is the cot trail along the Biebrichsbach. Mayor Melanie Leicher is looking forward to welcoming many guests, young and old: "Let's enjoy the magic of Christmas in Montabaur together!" True to its tradition, the cobbler's town sticks to its guns and does not try to compete with the big Christmas markets in Mainz, Trier or Koblenz.
